AFA strengthens its commitment toward a connected, sustainable, and future-ready ASEAN accountancy profession
HANOI, 30 October 2025 - A symbolic and heartfelt moment marked the handover of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) Presidency from Professor Dr. Doan Xuan Tien of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) to Dr. Ardan Adiperdana of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI) for the 2026–2027 term.
AFA expresses its deepest appreciation to Professor Dr. Doan Xuan Tien for his dedicated leadership and invaluable contributions in advancing AFA’s regional vision. His term strengthened collaboration among ASEAN member organisations and elevated the profession’s voice in global standard-setting and policy conversations.
Under his leadership, AFA enhanced its regional partnerships, promoted sustainability and digital transformation in the accountancy profession, and reaffirmed its role as a strong partner within ASEAN and the international accountancy community. As Dr. Ardan Adiperdana assumes the leadership role, AFA looks forward to building on this momentum and driving continued progress toward a connected, sustainable, and future-ready ASEAN accountancy profession.
Once again, AFA extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Ardan Adiperdana on his appointment as AFA President for 2026–2027, and sincere gratitude to Professor Dr. Doan Xuan Tien and the VAA team for their remarkable contributions to the advancement of the ASEAN accountancy profession.
